Agri-Food Pilot Program

Agri-Food Immigration Pilot occupations and industries include: Meat Processing, Retail Butchery, Industrial Butchery Food Processing Labourer for Year-Round Mushroom and Greenhouse Crop Production, general farm worker for year-round mushroom, greenhouse crop, or livestock production

Farm supervisor and specialized livestock worker for meat processing, year-round mushroom production, greenhouse crop production, and livestock raising

For the Agri-Food Pilot, applicants must:

(1) Have at least one year of full-time, non-seasonal work in the three years prior to application.

(2) Have experience in one or more eligible fields

(3) Worked in Canada through the Temporary Foreign Worker Programme

The following jobs do not qualify towards work experience:

(1) Volunteering

(2) Unpaid internships

(3) Part-time jobs

(4) Seasonal jobs

(5) Work unapproved by IRCC

Agri-Food Pilot applicants must have a Canadian work offer. Their job offer must match these criteria:

(1) Be employed in an eligible industry

(2) Apply full-time

(3) Non-seasonal position 

(4) Permanent employment 

(5) Collective agreement-determined wage 

(6) Non-Quebec job

Agri-Food Pilot applicants must have one of the following:

(1) High school diploma from Canada

(2) An ECA report from a designated organisation proving they finished a secondary school or higher foreign credential..
